Methods to fix Skype call failed issue
Delete the configuration files
1.
Press Windows key+R to open run window.
2.
Type %appdata%\Skype. Press Enter.
3.
Select the configuration files and right click
on them.
4.
Click on delete to remove the files.
5.
Press Windows key +R and type “inetcpl.cpl” in
the run box.
6.
Press Enter key. Select Advanced tab in the
Internet properties window.
7.
Choose “Delete personal settings”. Click on
reset.
8.
Reboot your system.
Update the device drivers manually Sometimes, outdated drivers create issues like this. Follow
these steps to update device drivers manually:
1.
Press Windows key +R.
2.
Type “devmgmt.msc” command in the run window.
Press Enter.
3.
Choose the device drivers you want to update.
Right click on it.
4.
Click on update driver.
5.
Select the option “browse my computer for driver
software”.
6.
Install the update and reboot your system.
Disable the Firewall
Enabled firewall interfere with the working of Skype. See
below steps to disable Firewall and antivirus software:
1.
Press Windows key +R and type “control” in the
run window.
2.
Type “Firewall” in the search panel of the
control panel. Choose the first option in the result.
3.
Click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
4.
Click on Turn windows firewall on both Private
and Public networks.
5.
Click on OK.
6.
Reboot your computer.
Check your network connection
Check that your internet connection is working properly or
not. If the internet connection is slow then optimize it.
