Roku provides an online media service in the form of channels to the users. Users can stream online unlimited videos through an internet connection in Roku. Roku device is a gadget that provides the video channel to the users. But sometimes you faced an error named Roku error code016 displayed on the screen of the Roku device.
This is an internet connection related error because the Roku device needs a strong internet connection to play the videos.
The Roku error code 016 mostly occurs when the signal of the internet connection goes down. Roku devices can be connected with the Wi-Fi network, router.  
Causes of the Roku error code 016:
The reasons for this error are as follows:
·         This error occurred if the speed of the internet is low or bad.
·         No internet connection is also the reason behind the occurrence of this error.
·         If the settings of the router are not compatible then it causes the Roku error.
·         A DNS failure is also the reason behind the occurrence of this error.
·         Sometimes ISP blocking also causes this error.

Solutions to fix the error:
1)    Check the speed of the internet connection on the Roku device:
An Internet connection is the main reason behind the occurrence of the Roku error 016 that’s why you need to check the speed of the internet connection. The Slow speed of the internet connection is not enough to play the video in high quality as well as in low speed. To check the speed of the internet connection, you have to follow the steps given below:
§  Firstly, you need to click on the settings.
§  Then go to the network option.
§  After this, you need to click on the check internet connection option.
§  After this, you need to check the signal strength of the internet connection and internet connection with your Roku device.
§  After this, the speed of the internet show on your device’s screen.
§  If speed is not good then you need to fix this issue.
§  To fix this issue, you need to put the router closer to the Roku device.
             This solution will fix the Roku error code 016.

2)    Check network connectivity problem:
When the Roku device is not able to access the internet connection through the router then an error message showed on the display on the screen named Roku error code 016.
Then you need to check the network settings and establish a network connection by entering the network name and password.
